Villa del Balbianello will leave you breathless, due to its beautiful terraced gardens and picturesque structure. Located on the tip of the Lavedo headland, in the locality of Lenno, the villa provides a stunning view of Isola Comacina and the western shore of Lake Como.Fan Fact: Villa del Balbianello has been used as the setting for several movies, including A Month by the Lake, Casino Royale, and Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones.
Villa Monastero between architecture and botany. The Villa, owned by the Province of Lecco, is one of the main historical and environmental sites in the area, thanks also to its privileged position. The complex is made up of the villa itself, which has now been transformed into a museum and is also home to an internationally renowned conference centre, and the splendid botanical garden that surrounds it and extends for almost two km along the lake shore.
ACTIVITIES
I don't know about your, but when I think of Como, I think of Riva Aquarama. It is something I can not explain but the wooden boats, waves with lush green ridges in the background are what I think of immediately when someone says Como.
So regardless of how long you spend in Lake Como, a boat tour along this beautiful lake is a must. There are multiple pretty little towns to visit along the water's edge, from the famous Bellagio to Varenna and the eponymous Como, all on the lake's luxurious southern shore. The Classic Speedboat private tour is the most popular boat tour on Lake Como. Make sure to book in advance since almost everything was fully booked the both times I was there. You will go on a private tour on board a wooden speedboat, and for 2 hours have the opportunity to visit some of the most beautiful places on Lake Como, and to stop along the way for a swim.
